I wanted to pay my respects the only way I really know how. My second attempt at charcoal, my first attempt at a human in charcoal. Constructional critisism is always encouraged, so help me out if anything bothers you!
Me miss you, Stevie! *big sniffle*
::EDIT::
Re-Draw. I had to do it! I learned a lot about how to use charcoal since I drew this 3 days ago, so I had to re-draw him (lol, that sounds ridiculous). You can find the original in my Scraps folder, but I like this version much better.
it's good to see you've captured him in a way that depicts him appreciative of an environment that he loved. i must say it's a pretty good first attempt at the human in charcoal, probably also because i can't draw in charcoal myself...it just goes everywhere, but thats beside the point.
if there is anything about this drawing that's bothering me i'd have to say it's probably the nose, a little more shading on the right to make it more defined...but apart from that it's an excellent effort!
This is beautiful, he will be missed.... A DArtist is putting together a portfolio of Steve or In memory-related art to send to the Australia Zoo, if you were interested, heres the link: [link]

This drawing is nice. And damn, this is pretty good for your second try! I can never draw anything correctly with charcoals. They are way too hard to use.
As for Steve...well, I'm really gonna miss him. It was so sudden...

I'm not really tormented.
Such a sad subject, inspiring though. In many ways.
