RIP, Steve Irwin. September 4th, 2006.

I wanted to pay my respects the only way I really know how. My second attempt at charcoal, my first attempt at a human in charcoal. Constructional critisism is always encouraged, so help me out if anything bothers you! :)

Re-Draw. I had to do it! I learned a lot about how to use charcoal since I drew this 3 days ago, so I had to re-draw him (lol, that sounds ridiculous). You can find the original in my Scraps folder, but I like this version much better. :)

it's good to see you've captured him in a way that depicts him appreciative of an environment that he loved. i must say it's a pretty good first attempt at the human in charcoal, probably also because i can't draw in charcoal myself...it just goes everywhere, but thats beside the point.

if there is anything about this drawing that's bothering me i'd have to say it's probably the nose, a little more shading on the right to make it more defined...but apart from that it's an excellent effort! :w00t:

This drawing is nice. And damn, this is pretty good for your second try! I can never draw anything correctly with charcoals. They are way too hard to use.

As for Steve...well, I'm really gonna miss him. It was so sudden...
